Show description

Local musician and environmentalist Steve Madewell will be celebrating the release of his second CD "Arrow Creek" with a performance to benefit Hospice of the Western Reserve on Friday September 7 at Penitentiary Glen Nature Center.   Joining Steve will be singer songwriter Bob Hollister, from Billings, Montana. Both songwriters share a deep appreciation of and connection to the natural world which is translated into songs that reflect the local landscape as well as the personal landscape of the spirit.

Steve's latest CD was interrupted as the flood of '06 hit Lake County and his own home was heavily damaged by that event. In the months following, with the support of family and friends, his home and the CD project began to move towards completion. Steve adds, "This performance provides an opportunity to thank some very special people who came to our aid by providing housing and assistance following last summers flood.   And over the years Hospice of the Western Reserve has helped so many friends and family members live through such difficult times.  This performance is just a small token of appreciation that I am delighted to offer."

There is a $20 donation to Hospice of the Western Reserve on the night of the show. A wine and cheese reception with the musicians will follow the concert. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling: 440.352.1620.
